Imagism began in the early twentieth century when poets wanted to express their thoughts through visual images . Imagism was officially launched in 1912. The movement reached the scene when T.E Hulme introduced ideas to a poets' club in London . Imagism poetry was created to form a image with observed details given within the poems. Amy Lowell is known as the leader of this movement. Other poets involved in this movement include William Carlos Williams , Richard Aldington , and James Joyce.
