Description;
The New York School movement ,(1950's ,1960's), did't only deal with poets in New York, it also worked with musicians, painters and dancers from that location. Surrealism had a great influence in their works of literature and art . The elements poets essentially focused on were vivid , brutal or pragmatic, writers often used animated imagery to express the poem even further. Their art produced was their backlash on the Confessionalist Movement in Contemporary Poetry. Poets associated with this movement include John Ashbery and Kenneth Koch.
